Locations are the physical places in your organization. You assign assets, work orders, work requests, and bookings to them. To open locations, in the sidebar, under Resources, click Locations.
You need read access to locations to open the Locations page. Creating, editing, and deleting locations each need their own permission. By default, members and requesters can view locations but not change them.

How the hierarchy works

Every location can have a Parent Location. A location without a parent is a top-level location. You can nest locations as deep as you need, for example:
  • Main Campus (Building)
    • Level 1 (Floor)
      • Room 101 (Room)
      • Science Lab (Room)
Relyant doesn’t force a fixed structure. Any location can be the parent of any other location. Use the Type field to label what each location is.
