You need permission to edit locations to change them, and permission to delete locations to remove them.
As your campus changes, you can rename locations, move them under a different parent, or remove them.

Edit a location

1

Open the location

In the sidebar, under Resources, click Locations.
2

Click Edit

In the location’s row menu, click Edit. You can also open the location and click Edit in the actions menu.
3

Update the details

Change the name, type, status, address, capacity, booking settings, or images.
4

Save

Click Update Location.

Move a location to a new parent

1

Edit from the list

On the Locations page, open the location’s row menu and click Edit.
2

Change the parent

In Parent Location, select the new parent. Select None to make it a top-level location.
3

Save

Click Update Location. Its sub-locations move with it.
A location can’t be its own parent. You also can’t move a location under one of its own sub-locations.
Change the parent from the Locations list. The Parent Location list is filled in there.

Delete a location

1

Click Delete

In the location’s row menu, click Delete. You can also open the location and click Delete in the actions menu.
2

Confirm

In the Delete Location dialog, click Delete.
To delete several locations, select them on the Locations page and click Delete Selected. When you delete a location:
  • All of its sub-locations are deleted too.
  • Assets at the deleted locations lose their location. The assets stay.
  • Work orders at the deleted locations lose their location. The work orders stay.
Deleting a location can’t be undone. To keep a location’s history but stop using it, set its Status to Inactive instead.
