- Location Bookings
- Asset Bookings
- Help Desk
- Asset Archival
- Transport Bookings
Review requests
Approvals works like an inbox: the list of requests is on the left, and the selected request opens on the right with a live preview of the record.1
Open Approvals
In the sidebar, under Workspace, click Approvals. The sidebar badge shows how many requests are pending.
2
Find a request
The Pending tab lists requests waiting for your decision. The Decided tab lists requests that were already approved or rejected. Search by title, requester, or workflow, or click Filter to show one Type. Press ↑ and ↓ to step through the list.
3
Check the details
Click a request to see its workflow, its approvers, and a preview of the record. Click Open in Facilities to go to the record itself.
4
Approve or reject
Click Approve, or click Reject and enter a reason. The requester is notified of the reason. Approving a work request opens Approve Request, where you set a location and other details, then click Create Work Order.
The inbox lists the approvals assigned to you. If you aren’t a designated approver for a request, its Approve and Reject buttons are turned off.
Designated approvers
When a request matches an approval rule, only the approvers listed on that rule can approve or reject it. Organization admins can always decide. Holding the general approve permission isn’t enough. If you try to decide a request you aren’t designated for, you see “You are not an authorized approver for this request.” If no rule matches, anyone with the approve permission can decide the request.Set up approval rules

- Name — for example, “Facilities Work Request Approval”
- Entity Type — the kind of request the rule covers
- Assets or Locations — for asset or location bookings only, restrict the rule to specific resources, or leave empty to cover every booking
- Department — restrict the rule to one department, or keep All Departments
- Approvers — one or more members who can decide matching requests

How rules are matched
When a request is submitted, Relyant picks the most specific active rule:- A rule scoped to the booked asset or location
- A rule scoped to the requester’s department
- A global rule with no department or resource scope
