How a supply request flows
- A requester picks a storage location, adds items to a basket, and submits the request. For an item with variants, such as uniform sizes, the requester picks the variant.
- An approver approves or rejects it from the request or from Approvals.
- Stock staff dispense the items, all at once or in batches. Dispensed stock is deducted from the location, from the variant’s own stock when the line has one.
- Once every item is dispensed or the request is closed out, it’s Ready for Collection, and the requester is emailed.
- Stock staff mark the request Completed when it’s collected.
Supply request statuses
Find requests
Use the All and Created by Me tabs at the top of the list. You can also search, filter by Status and Created Date, or click a count in the status row to show one status, such as Submitted or Approved.Requesters and members can create, view, and edit supply requests. A custom role only needs supply request permissions to raise a request. It doesn’t need inventory or settings access. Approving and dispensing need the Owner or Admin role, or a custom role with those permissions. Who approves a request can also be set by a workflow.
