This page covers how customers check out from your online shop, how you offer pickup and timeslots, and the emails and receipts customers get along the way.

Set up fulfillment options

Fulfillment options tell customers how they’ll receive their order. Pickup is the only type available today.
1

Open the Fulfillment tab

In the sidebar, under Sell, click Settings, then the Fulfillment tab.
2

Add an option

Click Add Fulfillment Option and enter:
  • Name — for example Store Pickup
  • Type — Pickup
  • Instructions — the pickup address, opening hours, or what to bring. Customers see this at checkout.
3

Schedule timeslots (optional)

Turn on Schedule timeslots to make customers pick a date and time:
  • Customers can choose from timings — every 15, 30, or 60 minutes
  • Service hours — the time ranges for each day of the week, or Closed
  • Advanced — cut-off time — the Minimum lead time (in hours or days) before the earliest slot, and the Maximum lead days ahead customers can book
The Preview shows the earliest and latest slots a customer would see for sample order times.
4

Turn it on

Make sure Enabled is on. When at least one option is enabled, customers must choose one at checkout.

What customers see at checkout

1

Cart

The customer adds items from your shop and opens Your Cart, then clicks Checkout.
2

Details

The customer enters their Email, where the confirmation and receipt are sent. They choose a fulfillment option, and a date and time if it’s scheduled. They also answer any checkout questions turned on for the online store.
3

Payment

If you offer payment methods, the customer clicks Continue to payment and chooses how to pay. Otherwise they click Place Order and you arrange payment with them.
4

Pay

What happens next depends on the method:
  • Bank transfer — the customer sees the bank, account number, and recipient, and can copy them. They click I have paid.
  • QR payment — the customer sees your QR image to pay from their banking or e-wallet app, then clicks I have paid.
  • Other manual methods — the customer sees your instructions and clicks I have paid.
  • Payment gateway — the customer clicks Pay now and is redirected to the provider to pay securely.
If the method requires payment proof, the customer must upload a screenshot before placing the order.
With manual methods, the order is created straight away as Pending and Unpaid, and its stock is reserved. You confirm the payment from the order with Mark as Paid. With a payment gateway, the order is only created once the provider confirms the payment, so abandoned payments leave nothing behind.

After the order is placed

The customer lands on an order page that shows its progress, for example Order received, Payment is under review, or Your order is ready for collection. From there they can click View Receipt. Relyant emails the customer:
  • when the order is received, with a link to their receipt
  • when you mark it as paid
  • when you mark it ready for collection, with the date and your note
  • when you mark it fulfilled
  • when you cancel it, with the reason you enter
Owners and Admins also get a notification for each new order, based on their notification preferences.

Receipts

The hosted receipt lists the items, totals, and fulfillment details. If items are later refunded or exchanged, the receipt shows what was returned, any replacement items, and the Final Total.

Orders

Mark orders paid, ready, and fulfilled.
