Payments lists each payment recorded against an order, across the register and the online shop. One order can have more than one payment, for example when a customer pays the balance on an exchange.
Required permission: read access to orders. Editing a reference needs update access to orders. Attaching or removing a payment proof needs the manage payment proof permission.

How payments are recorded

  • Register sales — a payment is recorded when you complete checkout in Web POS.
  • Online Shop orders paid manually (bank transfer, QR, or another manual method) — a payment is recorded when staff click Mark as Paid on the order.
  • Payment gateway (such as HitPay) — the provider confirms the payment to Relyant automatically and the payment is recorded without anyone clicking anything.
  • Exchanges — when a replacement costs more, the balance the customer pays is recorded as its own payment.
