Required role: Owner or Admin to add, rename, reorder, or delete grades and programs. Other staff can view them.
Grades are the year levels your school teaches, such as Kindergarten or Grade 1. Every class belongs to a grade, and grade order drives promotion during the year-end transition. You can group grades into programs (for example, Primary, MYP, or DP) to keep long lists organized. Go to Settings → Grades to manage them.

Add a program

1

Open the dialog

Click Add program at the top of the page.
2

Name the program

Enter a Name and pick an optional Color. The color appears as a dot next to the program name.
3

Save

Click Save. The program appears as a new section.

Add a grade

1

Open the dialog

Click Add grade.
2

Name the grade

Enter a Name, such as Kindergarten, then click Save.
Relyant gives each new grade the next level number after your highest existing grade. The level appears next to the grade name.

Organize grades

  • Assign to a program — click the program button on a grade’s row and choose a program. Choose Remove from program to move it back to No program.
  • Reorder — drag a grade by its handle within a section. The new order saves automatically.
  • Rename — use the grade’s rename action to open Rename Grade.
Programs work the same way. Use Rename Program to change a program’s name.

Delete grades and programs

  • Delete a grade — you can’t delete a grade that still has classes. Move or delete its classes first.
  • Delete a program — the program is removed, and any grades in it move to No program. The grades themselves aren’t deleted.
Set up grades before you create classes. The class form asks you to pick a grade.
