Required role: permission to manage members, usually Owner or Admin. You can’t change your own role, and only owners can change an owner’s role.
Each person in your organization has a page with their profile, their requests, and their access. You change their role on the Role & permissions tab.

Open a member’s page

  • In the Admin console, go to Team Members and click the member’s row or name. Their page opens inside the Admin console, with ← Team Members in the top bar to go back.
  • To go straight to their access, open the actions menu on their row and click Edit access.
  • Or, in Facilities, click Members and click a row. Their page opens in a panel beside the list.
The page has these tabs:

Change the role

1

Open Role & permissions

On the member’s page, click Role & permissions.
2

Pick a role

Under School role, pick one of your school’s roles, such as Owner, Admin, Staff, Requester, or a role you made.
Changes save straight away. One role decides everything the person can do, so there are no per-person exceptions. To give one person different access, give them a different role, or create a role for them.

See which apps they get

Under Apps, each app your school has turned on shows whether the person gets it from their role. Apps turned off for their role show Off for the role’s name. Owners and admins get every app with full access. Education shows the person’s own Education role, which is set separately. Click Change in Education to change it. See Education roles and permissions. The tab also says how many other people share the role. Click View the [role] role to open it on the Roles tab, where you can change its apps and permissions for everyone who holds it.

Your own access

Everyone can see their own role and apps on their profile under Role & access. Only an admin can change your role.
