# Sell overview

> Run your school shop, uniform store, or canteen with a web point of sale, an online shop, and sales reports

The **Sell** app handles everything your school sells: walk-up sales at a counter, orders from your public online shop, the payments you collect, and the reports that show how sales are going. Point of Sale and Online Shop orders land in the same order list and share the same catalog, customers, and payment methods.

Sell runs on its own subdomain, for example `sell.on.relyant.app`. Open it from the app switcher (**Apps**) in the top bar.

## What's in the sidebar

| **Sell** | **Web POS** | Ring up in-person sales and take payment |
| | **Orders** | Track every Point of Sale and Online Shop order, refund, and exchange |
| | **Payments** | Review each payment recorded against an order |
| | **Customers** | Keep customer records and see their order history |
| | **Settings** | Online shop, fulfillment, payments, checkout questions, receipts, and Point of Sale |
| **Catalog** | **Inventory** | Manage the items, variants, and prices you sell |
| **Insights** | **Reports** | Sales by period, payment method, product, and category |

When your online shop is live, a **Your store** card at the top of the sidebar shows your store link with **Copy**, **Open**, and **View QR** buttons.

The **Orders** item shows a badge with the number of orders still in **Pending** status.

>
> You only see the pages your role has permission to read. For example, **Customers** needs read access to customers and **Reports** needs read access to reports. If your role has no Sell permissions at all, opening Sell sends you back to the app hub.

## Features your admin can turn on

Sell has two features that Owners and Admins turn on in the [Admin console](https://docs.relyant.app/organization/organization-settings.md):

* **Point of Sale** — sell inventory items with payment tracking and receipts. Web POS, Orders, Payments, and Inventory need it.
* **Online Store** — a public storefront where customers browse products and place orders online.
