# People

> Find every Scribe note that includes a given student, parent, staff member, or guest

The **People** page lists everyone who has been added as an attendee on the notes you can access. Use it to find all the meetings you've had with a particular person.

## How the list is built

Scribe builds the list from the attendees on your notes, so you don't manage it separately. Each person appears once, with:

* Their attendee type, such as student, parent, staff, or external guest
* How many notes they appear in
* The date of their most recent note

People who appear in the most notes are listed first.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The list only includes notes you can access: notes you own, notes shared with you, and notes in folders you belong to. Someone may appear in other notes that you can't see.

## View a person's notes

**1. Open People**

In the Scribe sidebar, click **People**.

**2. Select a person**

Click a person to see the notes they appear in.

**3. Filter the notes (optional)**

Click **All Notes** to see every note you can access with this person, or **My Notes** to see only the notes you created.

**4. Open a note**

Click a note to open it. Click **Back to People** to return to the list.

## Add people to the list

A person appears on **People** once they're an attendee on at least one note. To add someone, open a note and click **Add attendees**. You can search for students, parents, and staff, or add an external guest by name.

> [!TIP]
>
> Name speakers in the transcript to add them as attendees at the same time. See [Assign speakers](https://docs.relyant.app/scribe/notes-and-summaries.md#assign-speakers).
