# Reports

> Measure participation and recognition activity across your organization

The **Reports** page charts recognition activity across your organization. You choose what to measure, how to group it, and how to break it down.

> **Required role:** **Owner** or **Admin**

## Build a report

**1. Open Reports**

In the left sidebar, click **Reports**.

**2. Choose a measure**

Under **Measure**, pick what to count:

* **Recognitions count**: the number of recognitions
* **Participation rate**: the percentage of members who gave at least one recognition
* **Points given**: the total points given
* **Points received**: the total points received

**3. Choose how to display it**

Under **Display by**, group the results by **Week**, **Month**, **Giver**, **Receiver**, or **Organization Values**.

**4. Break it down (optional)**

Under **Segment by**, split each group by **Role**, **Department**, **Giver**, **Receiver**, or **Organization Values**. Choose **None** to keep a single series.

**5. Filter the date range**

In the **Filters** row, pick a date range to limit the report.

The page shows a chart and a table of the results. Click **Reset** to return to the default report.

>
> When you segment the **Participation rate**, the table totals show an average instead of a sum, because percentages can't be added together.

## Export a report

In the results table, click **CSV** to download the report as a CSV file. PDF export isn't available for these reports yet.
