# Asset QR codes

> Print QR codes that let people report issues with an asset or look it up

Every asset has two QR codes. Print them and stick them on the asset.

| QR code | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Work Request** | Opens the asset's public request page. Anyone who scans it can report an issue, even without a Relyant account. |
| **Asset Lookup** | Contains the asset's ID, for scanning inside Relyant |

The work request code works like a single-asset [QR portal](https://docs.relyant.app/facilities/maintenance/qr-portals.md). If the asset is bookable and asset bookings are turned on, people who scan it can also book the asset.

## Print or download an asset's QR codes

**1. Open the QR codes**

In the sidebar, under **Resources**, click **Assets**. In the asset's row menu, click **View QR Code**. Or open the asset and click **Generate QR** in the actions menu.

**2. Choose the code**

In the **Asset QR Codes** dialog, click the **Work Request** or **Asset Lookup** tab.

**3. Print or download**

Click **Print** to print the code, or **Download** to save it as an image.

To check what people see when they scan the work request code, click **Preview Asset's Public Request Page**.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Printing opens a new browser window. If nothing happens, allow pop-ups for Relyant.

## Print QR codes for many assets

**1. Select the assets**

On the **Assets** page, select the checkboxes next to the assets.

**2. Open the QR codes**

In the bulk action bar, click **QR Codes**.

**3. Print or download**

Use **Prev** and **Next** to browse the codes. To print, click **Print All**, choose how many QR codes to show per row or page under **Print Layout**, then click **Print**. To save the images instead, click **Download QR Only**.

## Scan a code

On the **Assets** page, click **Scan** next to the search box and allow camera access. Point your camera at a QR code or barcode. Relyant enters the scanned value in the search box.
