# Directory

> Browse students, teachers, parents, and admins in one place and invite new members

The **Directory** brings your whole school community into one page, with a tab for each group. Use it to look someone up quickly or invite new people to your organization.

## Open the directory

In the left rail, click **People**, then **Directory**. Each tab shows a count of the people in it.

| Tab | Who appears |
| - | - |
| **Students** | Student records. Filter by **Status**: **Active**, **Inactive**, **Withdrawn**, or **Graduated** |
| **Teachers** | Members with the **Staff** role, shown with a **Teacher** badge |
| **Parents** | Members with the **Parent** role |
| **Admins** | Members with the **Admin** or **Owner** role |

The member tabs show **Name**, **Email**, **Role**, and **Joined** date. Use the search box on each tab to filter the list.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The **Teachers**, **Parents**, and **Admins** tabs list organization members only. Guardians added as contacts on a student's profile don't appear here. See [Guardians](https://docs.relyant.app/edu/people/guardians.md).

## Add a student

On the **Students** tab, click **Add Student** to open the new student form. See [Students](https://docs.relyant.app/edu/people/students.md) for the fields.

## Invite a member

**1. Choose the tab**

Open the **Teachers**, **Parents**, or **Admins** tab. The tab sets the role the person receives: **Staff**, **Parent**, or **Admin**.

**2. Click Invite User**

Click **Invite User**.

**3. Enter an email address**

Enter the person's **Email address**.

**4. Send the invitation**

Click **Send Invitation**. Relyant emails them an invitation to join your organization with that role.
