# Your profile

> Update your name, phone number, and birthday, see your records, and check your role and app access

Your profile holds your personal details and shows what you can do in your school. Every member can open it.

## Open your profile

Click your avatar to open your profile menu, then click **Account**. The profile has these pages: **General**, **Role & access**, **Security**, **Notifications**, and **Language**.

## Update your details

**1. Open General**

Click **General**.

**2. Edit your details**

Under **Profile Information**, change your **Name**, **Birthday**, or **Phone**. Your phone number is shown on your profile page to people in your school. Use digits, spaces, **+**, **-**, and parentheses only. Leave it empty to remove it.

**3. Save**

Click **Save Changes**.

To see the profile page other people see, click **View your profile as others see it**.

## Your records

The **Your records** card on **General** lists the records your school keeps for you, with a link to each:

| Record | Shows | Link |
| - | - | - |
| **Employee** | Your job title and department | **My HR profile** |
| **Teacher** | Your current classes | **My classes** |
| **Parent or guardian** | Your linked children | **My children** |

If the school has no records for you yet, the card says so.

## Check your role and access

Click **Role & access** to see your role and what you can use in your school. It shows:

* Your **School role**, such as **Owner**, **Admin**, **Staff**, or **Requester**
* Each app your school has turned on, and whether your role gives you it. Owners and admins get every app with full access. Education shows your own Education role.
